Cecil “C-Bo” Griffith obituary

A memorial service for Cecil “C-Bo” Griffith is at 10 a.m. on Saturday, in the Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel, 112 North Main Street in Spiro

Following the service, the family will gather privately for a repast at the Fort Coffee Community Center, 16106 Community Road in Fort Coffee.

Cecil McDonald Griffith, lovingly known as “C-Bo” was born on May 3, 1964 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.  He passed away peacefully on June 30, 2026 in Spiro at the age of 62.

Cecil loved the University of Oklahoma football, passionately.  He was a true Sooner fan and loved nothing better than watching the Sooners charge out of the tunnel on game day.  He attended the University of Oklahoma until he realized that he could make a lot more money working at General Motors and have a lot less homework.  He worked at the General Motors plant in Midwest City until an injury forced him into early retirement.

Survivors are a son, Joshua Walker; grandson, Kole Walker of Spiro; daughter, Jaylen Griffith, of Fort Coffee; sister, Peggie Curry (husband Aaron Curry), of Haslet, Texas; brother, Aaron McKinney, of Fort Smith, Arkansas; a number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him greatly.

Cecil was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Green; father, Maudess Thomas; sister, Arneta Briggs; brothers Zephaniah Griffith, Frank, Dede, and Robert Thomas. 

Anthony Bradley, Charles Chambers, Frankie Chambers, Damon Manion, Cameron Foster, Tony Eubanks, Byron Briggs, and Aaron Curry, will serve as honorary pallbearers.
