Adam Wayne Sprabery of Howe was born July 25, 1988 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to James Sprabery and Michelle (Booher) Heizer and passed away surrounded by family on Aug. 16, 2025 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 37.
Funeral service is 10 a.m. Tuesday in Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Sam Dyer officiating. Burial will follow in Vaughn Cemetery, under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.
Adam, a proud graduate of East Coweta High School in Georgia, was a skilled custom home builder and a dedicated fan of the University of Oklahoma Sooners. He cherished the time spent grilling with family, fishing, camping, and embracing the great outdoors. An artist at heart, Adam also showcased his musical talents as a gifted guitarist. Family was at the core of Adam’s life; he was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. His warm spirit and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Adam leaves behind a legacy of love and creativity that will forever resonate in the hearts of his family and friends.
Surviving family members are his wife, Hannah Sprabery, of the home; his mother Michelle Heizer and husband Ross of Howe; his father James Sprabery and wife Tami of Poteau; two daughters Laila Sprabery and Hadley Sprabery, both of the home; one son, Zhane Gerdes, of the home; three sisters Maegan Sprabery of Heavener, Paige Heizer of Newnan, Georgia and Hannah Branscum of Stillwater; four brothers Seth Sprabery of Spiro, Cameron Cardin of Houston, Texas, Carter Heizer of Newnan, Georgia and Ryan Conner of Oklahoma City; his paternal grandmother, Martha Sprabery, of Poteau; his maternal grandmother, Diane Booher, of Howe; numerous other loved ones and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Joe Sprabery; his maternal grandfather, Glynn Booher; and his uncle, Eric Booher.
Pallbearers are Seth Sprabery, Cameron Cardin, Shawn Riggins, Bill Gerdes, Trenton Wellman and Ryan Conner.
Viewing is from noon until 8 p.m. Monday. The family will visit with friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
