Betty Sapp was born June 2, 1943, in Spiro to Della (Napier) Gabbard and Bill Cornell and passed away Sept. 10, 2025, in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Survivors are her husband, Phillip Sapp; children Lynne Huffman and husband Chris, Patricia Davis and husband David, Kevin Ritter and wife Shelly, Connie Frias, Sherry Gilmore, Teresa Marroquin and Rocky Sapp; grandchildren Crystal, Typhanie, Jacob, Brittany, Shannon, J.J., Tyler, Eric, Austin, Pablo, Issac and Felissa; great grandchildren Dillion, Jeremy, Laney, Meghan, Ashlin, Landry, Hayden, Mason, Taylor, Alex, Lyla, Kylie and Clay; sister, Donna Dart; and brothers Dale Cornell and Donnie Joe Cornell
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson Matthew Dobbins; Dale Ritter, father of her children; brothers Henry Cornell, James Cornell and Johnny Cornell; and her sisters Janes Jones, Lillian Reed and Rosemary Blaylock.
Pallbearers are Jacob Davis, Dillion May, Jagger Dill, Jeremy Clayton, Shannon Huffman, Jonnie Reed, Matt Sapp, Kevin Ritter and Cody Popescu.
Visitation is Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
