Family was the center of Bonita’s world. Becoming a “Nanny,” as she was lovingly called, was her greatest joy. She often said her grandchildren were her moon, her stars, and her reason for living. Her love for them, and for all her family, was deep, steady, and unconditional.
Survivors are her children Lisa Chumlie and husband Mike, of Fort Smith, Arkansas; Kristal Tackett of Panama, and Terry Winn and wife Tina of Spiro; her cherished grandchildren Anika Chumlie, Austin Chumlie, Terry Winn, Bradlee Tackett, Landon Tackett, Todd Winn, Walker Tackett and Tori Winn; as well as her beloved great-grandchildren Leeland, Emberlynn, Aspen, Alivia and Lucas; sisters Barbara Brewer, Connie Bourne and Shelia Bourne; her uncle, Virgil Dameron; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
Bonita was preceded in death by her birth parents; her wonderful stepfather, Ted Bourne; her husband and the love of her life, Terry Lee Treadway; brothers, Don Bourne and Louie Covington; sisters, Linda Aary, Theresa Hawkins, and Beverly Thompson; and her great-granddaughter, Brynlee Tackett.
Gone but never forgotten…
We love you to the moon and back, Nanny.
