Carrie Sue was born July 8, 1958, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Myrtle Armenia (Whortan) Harrison and Louie Ward. She was a devoted woman of God who loved her family deeply and was a blessing to everyone she encountered. Known for her caring and kind spirit, Carrie Sue took great pride in keeping her home clean and welcoming.

A faithful member of Lighthouse at the Crossroads Church, Carrie Sue dedicated her life to serving the Lord. She ministered through Praise and Worship and was a steadfast prayer warrior for all in need. Her presence, her faith, and her joyful spirit will be deeply missed—no one could praise the Lord quite like Carrie Sue.

Funeral services are 1 p.m. Saturday at Lighthouse at the Crossroads in Spiro with Reverend Howard Jeffery officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Park Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas, under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Spiro.

A wake service is 6 p.m. Friday at the church.

Survivors are her sisters Tillie Ward, Molly Stanley and Katheleen Stanley; her brothers Michael Ward and wife Caroline, Louie Ward and wife Samantha, Barney Harrison and wife Missy, and Johnny Harrison; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other beloved relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Louie Ward and Myrtle Harrison; her stepfather, Johnny Harrison; her sister, Angeline Harrison; her niece, Miracle Stanley; her nephews Michael Ward, Jr. and Jackie Ward; her great-nephews Outlaw Boswell, Axel Holmes and Daniel Stanley; her great-niece, Italy Cooper; and her aunts Tillie Cooper and Rose Boswell.

Pallbearers are P.J. Cooper, Clayton Harrison, Christopher Ward, Barney Matthew Harrison, Anthony Cooper, Barney Ray Ward, Henry Cooper and Landon Ward. Honorary pallbearers are Silas King Stanley and Saul Jordan Stanley.
