Funeral services for Joyce Kelley set

Funeral services

Funeral services for Joyce Kelley, 74, of Spiro is 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Spiro, with Reverend Matthew Sebo officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.

Joyce was born July 10, 1950 in Booneville, Arkansas, to Connie (Daniels) Corley and Bathel Adkins Corley and passed away March 22, 2025, in Spiro. She married James Marlon Kelley on March 31, 1978, in Stigler.

Survivors are her husband, James Kelley; daughter Lisa Holbrook and husband Robert; sons Kevin Lippold and wife Shirley Cox, and John Erkert; brother Bill Corley and wife Lowetta; grandchildren Shyann Holbrook and husband Hayden, Makayla Rowland and husband David, Jacqueline Lippold and husband Michael, Somer Johnston and husband Timothy, Shelbie Holbrook and fiancé Ricky, and Amanda Mass; 12 great-grandchildren, with baby Harrison on the way, her beloved dog Chewy, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and cherished friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Patrick McKenzie; her brother, JC Corley; her sister, Lou Owens; and her great-grandson, Bentley Guinn.

Joyce loved spending time with her family, cherishing every moment with her grandchildren. She had a passion for cooking and enjoyed teaching her children in the kitchen. For 20 years, she worked as a dietary cook at Spiro Nursing Home. In her free time, she loved embroidery and crocheting. She was a devoted fan of “Dancing with the Stars”, “The Walking Dead”, and “True Blood”. She also enjoyed watching crime movies and starting her mornings with a cup of extra hot coffee.

Pallbearers are James Kelley, Hayden Harrison, Robert Holbrook, Tim Johnson, Kevin Lippold, and Patrick McKenzie. Honorary pallbearers are John Erkert and Blake Elkins.

Viewing and visitation is Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. with the family greeting friends from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
