Funeral services for Rodell Stanley set

Funeral services for Rodell Stanley, 60, of Spiro are 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Lighthouse at the Crossroads Church in Spiro with Brother Bobby Hogan and Reverend Howard Jeffey officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Park Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas, under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Spiro.

A wake service will take place Friday at the church.

Rodell was born April 24, 1965, in Hutchinson, Kansas, to Connie Joyce (Rickey) Stanley and Tom Stanley, Sr. He passed away on July 12, 2025, in Grand Forks, North Dakota, after a life full of joy, laughter, and adventure. On Sept. 29, 1982, Rodell married the love of his life, Molly (Ward) Stanley, in Farmersville, Louisiana.

Rodell was a man of many passions. He had a love for fishing, often spending time near the water to enjoy the serenity of the sunrise. A skilled pool player, he won numerous trophies and was well-known for his pool shark skills. Rodell also had a deep affection for fast cars and drag racing, owning some of the fastest cars around. Above all, he was a people person. His outgoing nature meant he never met a stranger, and he touched the lives of everyone he encountered with his warmth and generous spirit.

Rodell’s family was at the heart of everything he did. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved to call his family just to check in, always eager to lend a helping hand or do whatever it took to make his loved ones happy. His love for Molly was especially strong, and he was always willing to go the extra mile to ensure her happiness.
Rodell leaves behind his loving wife, Molly Stanley; sons Timothy Rodell Stanley, Jr. and wife Joann, and Ezzie Ray Stanley; daughter Starr Stanley and husband PJ Cooper; grandchildren Isabella Stanley, Silas King Stanley, Saul Jordan Stanley, Timothy Rodell Stanley III, and Bazel Boy; brothers Tom Stanley, Jr., Ned Kelly Stanley, and Ezzie Stanley; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved daughter Miracle Stanley, and his brother Cookie Stanley.

Pallbearers are Ned Stanley, Barnie Harrison, Louie Ward, Henry Cooper, Christopher Ward, Ezzie Ray Stanley, PJ Cooper, Timothy Rodell Stanley, Jr., Jackie Ward, Rodell Stanley and Jackie Cooper.

Rodell will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of love, generosity, and joy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
