Georgia Mae Nelson service set

Georgia Mae Nelson, 92, of Talihina passed away Sept. 14, 2025 and was born Dec. 23, 1932 in Talihina to Ruby (Cranford) and Elmer Matkins.

Graveside service is 10 a.m. Thursday at New City Cemetery in Talihina with Bro. Kenny Bryant officiating.

Services are under the direction of McCarn Funeral Service.

Surviving family members are her children Patsy Jean Simmons of Wilburton, Ira Joe Nelson of Talihina and Brenda Kay Ferrara of Oregon; grandchildren James Beeson and wife Yanfei of Redding, California, Jessica Presley-Cook and husband Jonathan of Wilburton, Jennifer Ferrara of Dixon, California, Tiffany Ferrara-Rasmussen and husband Will, Joelynn Lee and Georgia Ann Nelson of Santa Rosa, California; numerous great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; and one brother, Donald Ray Matkins.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ruby and Elmer Matkins; daughter, Linda Faye Borton; and five siblings.

Visitation is from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at McCarn Funeral Service in Talihina.
