Heavener boys finish third in regionals

Heavener boys

Heavener boys finish third in Atoka Class 3A regional track meet Saturday.

The Lady Wolves’ 4×800 team of Chloe McMahan, Allison Palmer, Camila Aguilar and Kanan Summers were sixth.

For the Wolves, the 4×800 team of Seth Lynch, Isaac Cook, Parker Brand and Jerred Boss were first, earning a trip to state.

Lynch also was first in the 800 to qualify.

Jeremi Casteel won the discuss and was second in shot, qualifying for state in both events.

In the 110 hurdles, Carson Payne was fourth and Geren Palmer were sixth, both looking to qualify to state with a little help.

In the 300 hurdles, Cook was third and qualified for state. Palmer was sixth while Payne was in second place before he took a tumble.

Diego Cruz was sixth in the 3,200, also looking to qualify.
