Heavener moves on in LeFlore Tournament

Heavener moves on to the winner’s bracket finals of the LeFlore Tournament after a 7-3 victory over Antlers in a winner’s bracket semifinal game Friday.

The Lady Wolves are currently, 4-1. Heavener plays Talihina at 2 p.m. with the winner needing one more win to take the tournament title while the losers fall into the losers bracket.

Heavener managed only two hits and had four errors in the win over the Ladycats Friday. But the Lady Wolves managed four walks and four batters were hit by pitches in the win.

Kristy Shadwick had another good game pitching for Heavener. She threw all four innings while giving up five hits and three runs, one earned, with three strikeouts and one walk.

Shadwick and Anistyn Cartwright had Heavener’s lone hits. Shadwick was 1-3 with two RBI and Cartwright finished 1-2 with a pair of RBI.
