Spiro also stayed winless after a blowout loss to Wilburton, Panama came up short against defending state champion Rejoice Christian, Talihina continued to roll and Arkoma won its first district playoff game.

Heavener made history in the win over Roland, 45-0. The Wolves improve to 2-4 and 2-1 going into Thursday’s game at district leading Kingston. Roland drops to 1-5 and 1-2.

Poteau won at Glenpool, 28-17, defeating former Pirate assistant Peyton Werner in the process. The Pirates are 5-1 and 2-1 while Glenpool remains winless. Poteau visits Tulsa McLain Thursday.

After Pocola dropped a close loss at home to Rejoice Christian last week, the Indians bounced back in a big way, pouncing Hulbert, 60-8 Thursday night. The Indians, 4-2 and 2-1 host Chouteau this week.

Panama had the chance to take over first place in district play, but Rejoice Christian was not a willing foe, downing the Razorbacks, 51-0. Panama is 4-2 and 2-1 going into a game at home against Warner.

Spiro dropped to 0-6 and 0-3 against Wilburton. The Bulldogs host winless Morris this week.

Talihina stayed perfect and won one of their biggest games with a 37-12 victory against Central. Talihina is 7-0 and 3-0 before hosting Liberty next week.

Arkoma came back from a bye week and dominated Gans in the district opener, 38-12. The Mustangs improve to 3-3 and 1-0. Arkoma visits Wilson-Henryetta this week.
