Heavener, Spiro split district games

Heavener, Spiro split

SPIRO—Heavener and Spiro split their two Class 3A basketball district playoff games Saturday, completing the season sweep for both schools.

Spiro’s girls won the opener, 40-17, before Heavener’s boys won the second game, 63-54.

The Area III boys bracket can be seen HERE. The girls’ bracket is HERE.

All four teams move to the regional tournaments Thursday at Checotah.

In winners bracket games, Spiro’s girls play Kiefer at 6 p.m. while Heavener’s boys take on Kiefer’s boys at 7:30 p.m.

In losers bracket contests, Spiro’s boys play Checotah at 2:30 p.m. while Heavener’s girls got a bye in the first round and play the Roland/Valliant loser at 6 p.m. Friday, also at Checotah.
