
Jacky Lnn “Jack” Surber of Shady Point was born June 3, 1957 in Fort Worth, Texas to Dennis Henry and Catherine Estelle (Clay) Surber and passed away on Nov. 29, 2025 at his home in Shady Point at the age of 68.

Jack was a longtime resident of the area and was a machine operator at Bremner Cracker Company. He attended Shady Point First Baptist Church. Jack loved playing music especially with his band “Texas”. He was avid fisherman and loved to catch flathead catfish. Jack also enjoyed playing pool, spending time with family, and attending parties. He will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
Survivors are his wife, Doris Surber, of the home; one daughter Jennifer Bloom and husband Bill of Fort Smith, Arkansas; four grandchildren Lindee Smith and husband Cade of Van Buren, Arkansas, Savannah Llen Biddle and husband Jacob of Barling, Arkansas, Lane Bloom of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Alexis Anderson and husband Kevin of Fort Smith, Arkansa.s; one step-grandson William Bloom and wife Charlea of Mansfield, Arkansas; six great-grandchildren; numerous other loved ones and friends.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters Cheryl Loyd and Cathi Adams; and two brothers Billy Don Surber and Jerry Lee Surber.
