James Alan Barnes, 75, of Heavener was born May 16, 1950 in Heavener to James Edward and Mona (Campbell) Barnes and passed away on Aug. 17, 2025 in Poteau.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.
James was a longtime resident of the area and a 1968 graduate of Heavener High School. He worked in photo finishing.
Surviving family members are one brother, Larry Barnes; his cousins Gary Johnston and wife Fannie, Ron Satterfield and wife Sharon, Kenneth Paul Phipps and wife Nan, Mary Lou Phipps; numerous other loved ones and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Edward and Mona Barnes.
