John McHugh passed away on April 5, 2026, at his home in Pocola at the age of 72 and was born on Nov. 25,1953, in Aspen, Colorado to Thomas and Eleanor (Newbury) McHugh.

Survivors are his wife, Roxie, of the home; children Patrick Cass and wife Cyrilla of Durango, Colorado and Nicole Hughes of Wellington, Colorado; one brother, Tom McHugh of Colby, Kansas; a nephew, Josh McHugh of Grand Junction, Colorado and one grandson Myles Riley Cass along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Bob McHugh.
