Johnny Wellington Shoup death notice

Johnny Wellington Shoup, 88, of Cameron passed away at home July 2, 2025. He was born Nov. 2, 1936, to Ralph and Nina May (Murray) Shoup.

A memorial service honoring his life is 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Poteau. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery in Cameron.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Surviving family members are his wife of 62 years, Joyce (Crabtree) Shoup; sons James and wife Denice, Johnny and wife Elisa, and Jeffrey; his brother, Dewey; grandchildren Rachael and husband Mitch, David and wife Beth, Durand and wife Alex, Mikayla and husband Shannon, Annika and husband Roberto, Connor and wife Ruthie, Isabella and husband Manny, and Ian; and great-grandchildren CeCe, Rome, Genevieve, Odiase and Artin.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Tom and Charlie Shoup.
