
Oklahoma State kept their perfect season alive on Thursday night, defeating Northwestern 86-81 at the Thanksgiving Classic in Chicago. The victory moves the Cowboys to 7-0 in basketball, marking their best start to a season since the 2019-20 campaign.

Roy scored all 16 of his points in the final eight minutes of regulation. He sparked a critical 16-4 run—hitting three 3-pointers in the process—to give the Cowboys their largest lead of the night.
Northwestern (5-2) refused to go quietly. Nick Martinelli delivered a massive performance for the Wildcats, posting a season-high 28 points on efficient 12-of-16 shooting alongside 10 rebounds. A late push by Angelo Ciaravino and a three-point play by Martinelli cut the Cowboys’ lead to just one point with 34 seconds remaining.
However, Oklahoma State stayed composed at the line. Kanye Clary, Vyctorius Miller, and Isaiah Coleman hit six consecutive free throws in the final seconds to seal the win in the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
Parsa Fallah contributed a double-double for Oklahoma State with 13 points and 11 rebounds, while Vyctorius Miller added 17 points.
The Cowboys return home to play Sam Houston State at 7 p.m.
