LeFlore County football teams go 3-1 in Week 0

LeFlore County football teams go 3-1 to open the 2025 high school football season in Week 0 Friday night.

Poteau welcomed new coach Jake Hayes with a 28-0 win over Booneville, Arkansas, Pocola won at Antlers, 42-7, Talihina crushed Summit Christian, 67-0, and Arkoma lost to Bluejacket, 46-18.

The other three County teams open play next week with Heavener hosting Central and Panama traveling to Spiro for a Thursday night game. Other LeFlore County games in Week 0 are Talihina at Porter; Canadian at Arkoma; and Poteau visiting McAlester.

Poteau avenged a 14-10 loss in last year’s win over Booneville as the Pirates took control early and cruised to the win over the Arkansas small school power that finished 11-2 last year, reaching the third round of the state playoffs.
