In Friday’s games, Sallisaw (6-1 and 4-0) visits Poteau (6-1 and 3-1) while Panama (5-2 and 3-2) hosts Haskell (4-3 and 3-1)

Heavener jumped out to a 34-0 lead at the half and cruised to the easy win at Okmulgee. The Wolves are now 3-5 and 3-2 in district play, in a tie for third place going into this week. Heavener hosts Kiefer next week. With a win on senior night, the Wolves could move into second place.

Spiro’s struggles continued in the lopsided loss at Atoka. The Bulldogs are 0-8 and 0-5 while the Wampus Cats improve to 2-6 and 2-3). Spiro hosts Henryetta next week.

Pocola knocked Hartshorne out of a tie for second place with the 44-3 win over the Miners in Hartshorne. The Indians improve to 6-2 and 4-1 while Hartshorne is 4-4 and 3-2. Pocola hosts Panama next week in a game between two teams tied for second place going into this week.

Talihina stayed undefeated and district play and moved closer to a district championship with a win over a Wewoka team that came into the week tied for second place. Talihina is now 8-0 and 5-0 while Wewoka is 5-3 and 3-2. Next week is revenge week as Talihina visits Regent Prep, the only team to defeat the Golden Tigers in the regular season last season. A win would also clinch the district for Talihina.

Arkoma (3-5) lost the non-district game to Foyil. The Mustangs played this game after Bartlesville Wesleyan forfeited the scheduled district game. Arkoma travels to Webbers Falls next week.
