Pocola will meet Talihina in the boys’ final while Howe and Panama will meet in the girls’ final Jan. 31.

Both winners survived close games to win Friday’s games.
Poteau only trailed 47-45 after a 36-19 deficit at the half before Pocola pulled away late for a 65-55 win.
Talihina won its second close game of the season against Howe, winning 37-36 after Cy Montgomery made three free throws with 1,1 seconds remaining to give the Golden Tigers the win.
Howe’s Florian Stellebehner scored with 6.4 seconds left to give Howe a two-point lead before Montgomery send Talihina to the finals.
Finals are set to be played at 7 p.m. with the boys to follow. Third-place games are scheduled for 2 p.m. with the boys to follow.
Heavener’s girls won the fifth-place game earlier, using two big runs to defeat Whitesboro, 51-36.
The Lady Wolves scored 16 straight points in the first quarter to take a 16-4 lead and then opened the second half on a 17-2 run to build a lead Whitesboro could not overcome at 36-17.
The boys’ fifth-place game was not completed. Apparently something was used on the brooms to clean the court at halftime. It left the court so slick the game could not continue and the game was ended with Panama holding a 29-19 lead.
