Oklahoma’s unemployment rates in July were lower in 70 counties, higher in one county and unchanged in six, according to the latest report by the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission.
Love County had the highest unemployment rate of 5.4 percent while Seminole County was second. Harman County had the lowest unemployment rate in the state at 1.9 percent.

LeFlore County’s rate for the month was 4.1 percent, down from 4.3 percent in June and 3.4 percent in May. Last year, the rate was 4.8 percent. The county has the 62nd highest unemployment rate out of the 77 counties in Oklahoma.
For the month, LeFlore County had a work force of 18,957 with 18,171 employed and 786 out of work. The work force in June was 19,089 with 18,271 employed and 818 out of work.
