Leveta Faye “Refuss” Davis obituary

Leveta Faye “Rufuss” Davis of Hodgen was born Aug. 6, 1953 in Casa Grand, Arizona to Willie M. and Laura Faye (Harris) Lawson and passed away Nov. 13, 2025 in Hodgen at the age of 72.

Funeral service is 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Big Cedar Freewill Baptist Church with Reverend Steve Ramsey and David Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Big Cedar Cemetery, under the care of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.

Leveta was a life-long resident of the area and a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Leveta will be deeply missed.

Survivors are her husband, Lillard Eugene “Hoot” Davis, of the home; two daughters Novella Guinn and husband Jerry, and Misty Rainwater and husband Zeke, all of Big Cedar; four sons

Dennis Carlson and wife Hannah of Albion, Willie Carlson, Bobby Carlson, and Earl Davis and wife Redonna, all of Big Cedar; a brother-in-law, James Settlemire, of Van Buren, Arkansas; her grandchildren Ryan Guinn, Shane Guinn, Gunner Guinn, Jackson Daniels, Conner Davis, Scottina Carlson, Harley Carlson, Adrianna Carlson, Dennis Carlson, Daniel Carlson, River Carlson, Brittany Orand, Joleigh Carlson and Caseton Parks; her great-grandchildren Jace Cooke, Waylon Guinn, Thomas Carlson, Mason Matthews, Koda Matthews, Soraya Matthews, Riot Matthews, Breklynn Liam Carlson; numerous other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Willie and Laura Lawson; two sisters Linda and Shirley; one grandson, Tommy Lee Carlson; one great-grandbaby, angel baby Guinn; two sons-in-law Byg Guinn and James Rainwater; one daughter-in-law, Nancy Carlson; numerous aunts, uncles, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law.

Pallbearers are Casey Davis, Chris Davis, Shannon Davis, Bryan Davis, Cody Putman and Zeke Cochran. Honorary pallbearers are David Davis, Vernon Davis, Gary Rose, Eugene Norvell and Bobby Cruse.
