Mary Janette Barnes, 77, of Spiro passed away on March 28, 2026, in Spiro. She was born on December 26, 1948, in Spiro to Hazel (McCage) Skelton and James Walter “Buck” Skelton.

She enjoyed reading and loved to shop. Janette especially enjoyed going to the casino and watching and ordering from the jewelry channel. She dedicated over 20 years of service to Elara Caring, where she worked faithfully and compassionately.
Survivors are her sons Allan Barnes and wife Mindy, and Carl Barnes; her grandchildren Bronx, Kharma, Gracie and Memphis; her great-grandchildren Cohen and Conrad; her brother, James Skelton; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones.
Janette was preceded in death by her parents Hazel and Walter Skelton; and her brothers, Rob Skelton and Eugene Skelton.
Honorary pallbearers are Allan Barnes, Carl Barnes, Greg Skelton, Jimbo Skelton, Ronnie Barnes, and Harold Garner.
Viewing and visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., with the family greeting friends from 6to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
