Carroll Wayne Covey,78, of Poteau, was born July 2, 1947, in Wister to Flora (Covey) Nichols and passed away on March 27, 2026, in Poteau.

Survivors include his sister, Darlene Lyons, of Wister and her significant other, Roy Heflin; his brother Phillip Nichols and wife Velma of Poteau; one nephew, Albert Lee Mize; and one niece, Monica Shepherd.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents, Inez and Bill Covey; and one brother, Gary Nichols.
