Maxine Kendall, 92, of Monroe passed away on Aug. 25, 2025, in Pocola.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. on Thursday at Monroe Baptist Church with Pastor Brad Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Monroe Cemetery, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
She was born on Nov. 24, 1932, in LeFlore to Nora (John) Stockton and Oscar Stockton. She was married to Earl Wayne She is Surviving family members are her daughter Claudean Kendall; her son Jimmy Kendall and his wife Debbie; grandchildren Brandi Meeks and husband Chad, Christy Kendall and husband Justin Hoopengarner, Lisa Roof and George Haney; seven great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kendall; her grandson, Barry Haney; two brothers; and four sisters.
Pallbearers are Dartyn Meeks, Jody Frazier, Justin Hoopengarner, Joe Mode, Donnie Dewitt, and Rodney Johnson. Chad Meeks will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
