Memorial services for Richard “Rick” Allen Nummy, 72, of Spiro are 10 a.m. Monday at the First Assembly of God Church in Spiro with Mr. Scott Harrison and Brother Robert Hill officiating. Burial will follow at the Spiro City Cemetery, under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Spiro.

On May 26, 1988, Rick married the love of his life, Debra Jo (Hutchinson) Nummy, in Cripple Creek, Colorado.
Rick was an intelligent man with a gift for teaching. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge with his grandchildren, whether it was the proper way to carry a fishing pole or how to cut a limb. He was meticulous, organized, and always willing to explain things in detail. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and golfing.
A talented artist, Rick was known for his drawings and his love of reading. He never met a stranger, often striking up conversations and sharing stories about the beauty of Colorado. Above all, Rick loved his family deeply and was always protective of them. He will be dearly missed.
Survivors are his loving wife, Debbie Nummy; son Jason Hammer and wife Dinean; grandchildren Colton, Cayden, Ceegen and Corbin; great-grandson, Ezekiel; sister Shirley Harrison and husband Scott; nephews Jeremy Harrison and wife Amneh, Chad Guthrie and wife Amber; niece Ashley Geyer and husband Brandon; as well as numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and many friends
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Cody Nummy.
