Oklahoma State loses opener at Kansas as the Cowboys fell to the Jayhawks, 5-2, in Friday night’s baseball series opener at Hoglund Ballpark.

With the loss, the Cowboys fell to 12-11 overall and 1-4 in Big 12 play, while KU is now 21-6 and 4-3 in the league. 

Brayden Smith homered and extended his hitting streak to 10 games, but the Pokes managed just three hits and struck out 10 times against KU right-hander Dominic Voegele, who worked eight innings and improved to 4-2.
