After the Cowboys opened with a 16-5 run, South Florida responded with a 16-2 rally to take a 34-25 lead.

South Florida extended its lead to 44-31, then failed to score another field goal over the final four minutes of the first half.

The Cowboys outscored USF, 13-1, to trim the halftime deficit to 45-44.

OSU shot 67 percent in the second half and took the lead after going on a 10-0 run.

The Cowboys improve to 5-0 and host Nichols Saturday.

Vyctorius Miller scored 24 points and Oklahoma State surged from behind to defeat South Florida, 103-95.

Kanye Clary added a double-double with 12 points and 11 assists for the Cowboys, who extended the program’s best start since the 2020-21 season.

CJ Brown (24 points, 10 assists), Joseph Pinion (20 points) and Wes Enis (20 points) all topped the 20-point mark for USF, which hit 15-of-39 threes.

Miller scored 10 points in the first 5:00 to help the Cowboys open up an early 15-5 lead.

USF responded later in the half with a 16-2 run, capped by a Wes Enis triple that made it 34-25 Bulls near the 7:00-mark.

Enis buried two more treys over the next three minutes to up the margin to 44-31 with just over 4:00 to play in the period, but the Bulls went the remainder of the half without a field goal.

Christian Coleman and Anthony Roy combined for all the points during a 13-1 Cowboy run to help OSU close the half down just 45-44.

The Cowboys shot 67 percent in the second half (22-of-33), including 7-of-11 from long range. They took the lead for good with a 10-0 run midway through the second half.

OSU leads the all-time series against USF, 3-0 (2-0 in Stillwater). Former Cowboy Marcus Smart starred in the two previous wins – 2012 in Stillwater and 2013 in Tampa.

OSU has recorded two 100+ point games since 2017, both under Lutz. The other came last February at home against UCF (104-95).

In a back-and-forth contest, OSU shot a Lutz-era best 59.4% from the field (38-of-64). The Cowboys improved to 4-1 under Lutz when making at least half of their shots.

The Cowboy defense held USF’s Josh Omojafo – who entered the contest averaging a team-high 19.8 points – to nine points on 1-for-7 shooting.

The Cowboys have scored at least 80 points in all five games and are a combined 17-0 under Lutz when doing so.

Oklahoma State finished with at least 90 points for the third time in five games after doing so only once last season.

The Cowboys deployed their fifth different starting lineup of the season in Wednesday’s contest.

OSU is now 18-4 (.818) at Gallagher-Iba Arena under Lutz and 10-0 in non-conference regular season play.

Lutz improves to 91-53 in parts of five seasons as a head coach (22-18 with OSU).

OSU is 461-60 (.885) in non-conference regular season home games inside GIA with 14 consecutive victories.

The Cowboys are now 877-268 all-time in GIA (88th season), including 309-94 since its 2000 expansion.

Kanye Clary had a historic performance against the Bulls as he notched his first career double-double with 12 points and 11 assists. He became the first Cowboy with 10+ assists since Isaac Likekele totaled 11 against TCU on Feb. 6, 2020.

Clary also led the Cowboys with seven rebounds. He’s the fifth different Cowboy to pace OSU in rebounds in its five games.

Vyctorius Miller added 24 points for the Cowboys, marking his 5th consecutive game in double-digits. Miller is one of six Cowboys who entered tonight averaging double-figure points.

Jaylen Curry returned to the lineup for the Cowboys after missing back-to-back games due to illness.

Isaiah Coleman and Lefteris Mantzoukas made their first starts of the season in Wednesday’s contest.

Senior forward Robert Jennings II missed his second consecutive contest. Prior to this stretch, he had made 38 straight starts since becoming a Cowboy in 2024-25.
