Poteau drops basketball games at Sallisaw Friday.

Boys
The Pirates fell behind 21-12 at the end of the first quarter and trailed 44-21 at halftime and could never recover.
Poteau did outscore the Black Diamonds 35-29 in the second half, but failed to challenge Sallisaw.
Alex Martinez led Poteau with 17 points and Deacon King finished with 14.

Sallisaw held Poteau scoreless in the second quarter en route to the easy win.
After leading 8-7 at the end of the first quarter, Sallisaw outscored Poteau 10-0 in the second quarter and the Lady Pirates never recovered.
Grace Spradley led Poteau with eight points.
