Marshall Brence from the Poteau Evening Lions Club presented a check for $1,500 to the Poteau Band Boosters president, Nikki Steelman, to help support the Poteau Band Program.
Read more: Poteau Lions make donationThe funds are raised from the funnel cake and cotton candy sales at the HS football games. Half of the sales proceeds go to the Band Boosters and half are used by the Lions for community projects.
Over the last 15+ years the Poteau Evening Lions Club has donated about $20,000 to the Band Boosters from funnel cake and cotton candy sales at the football games.
