Week 2 football games for LeFlore County teams featured Poteau completing an undefeated run through non-district football play, Panama and Pocola scored easy wins over county rivals and Arkoma scored its first win of the season Friday night.

Poteau (3-0) won easily on the road at Tulsa NOAH, 64-27, scoring the most points in a game for the Pirates in many years; Panama overcame an early deficit to defeat Heavener, 40-16; Pocola pounded Spiro, 72-6; and Arkoma won at Graham-Dustin, 46-0.
Poteau has a bye next week while the other county teams have their final non-district games before starting district play in two weeks.

Heavener (0-2) has another tough test next week when the Wolves host Arkansas power Charleston, Arkansas, who is 2-0 and is averaging 47 points per game.
Panama (2-0) has an interesting game at Wilburton, which has struggled over the last few years, but is now 2-0 with wins over Gore and Hartshorne; Pocola (2-0), has its biggest test of the season so far when it visits Vian (1-1), which is coming off a narrow loss to Kiefer; Spiro has another tough test on the road at Muldrow (2-0) with easy wins over rival Roland and Waldron, Arkansas; and Arkoma will try to even its record as the Mustangs (1-2) are home against Bowlegs, which is 0-2 with losses to Olive and Life Christian.
In Panama’s win over Heavener Friday, the Razorbacks defeated the Wolves for the seventh time in the last eight games and narrowed the series deficit to 40-22-3.
The Razorbacks actually trailed at one point, 10-8, in the second quarter after a 7-yard touchdown run by Spencer Clubb and a 19-yard field goal by Brandon Sanchez.
The Razorbacks retook the lead with 19 seconds left in the first half on a 17-yard run by quarterback Aryn Seamans, who had earlier hooked up with Malachi Releford on a 77-yard scoring pass.
Panama then dominated the second half, outscoring the Wolves 30-16 as the Razorbacks intercepted intercepted three passes and Heavener had trouble moving the ball due to the turnovers and penalties.
The Wolves’ lone bright spot in the second half was a 55-yard touchdown reception to Saul Silva by quarterback Brayden Semore, the second straight week the pair hooked up on long touchdown passes.
Panama running back Ty Smith rushed for three touchdowns in the second half and had 25 carries for 149 yards.
