2026 Week 1 football games for LeFlore County kicks off Friday with all teams in action aside from Talihina, which has a bye this week.
In Friday’s games, Heavener visits Central, Poteau travels to Tahlequah, Pocola goes to Keys and Spiro is at Gore.
Heavener’s game at Central is the renewal of a rivalry which typically results in close matchups, such as 2025 when the Tigers won in double overtime at Heavener after the Wolves missed a short field goal in the first overtime that would have won the game.
The Wolves are 0-1 while this is Central’s opener.
Poteau steps up a class to play the 5A Tigers, looking to bounce back from last week’s 34-15 loss at Metro Christian.
Pocola is 1-0 going into Friday’s game at Keys, which is also undefeated after a 16-14 win at Tishomingo last week.
The final matchup of Week 1 has Spiro and Gore both looking for their first wins after both teams lost in Week 0. Spiro lost to Westville while Wilburton ground up Gore.
