Anita Raquel Garrett, 81, of Poteau, passed away on Aug. 30, 2026, in Fort Smith, Arkansas and was born on Nov. 8, 1944, in Tacloban, Philippines, to Benigna (Raquel) Pulache and Christino Pulache.
Funeral service is 3 p.m. on Saturday at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau with Pastor Keith Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home.
Survivors are her son Jeff Garrett and wife Diverly, of Poteau; her daughter Rose Olive and husband Michael of Heavener; seven grandchildren Steven Olive, Daniel Olive, Rachael Chacon, Lykah Sulcer and husband, Jonathan, Fiona Blanchard and husband, Shane, Anita Divine Garrett, and Jaira Garrett; and her sister Isabel Provonovich and husband, Daniel.
She was preceded in death by her parents Benigna and Christiano Pulache; one brother, Alfredo; and two sisters Lorenza and Sophie.
