Blast from the past for Wednesday shows a picture looking up East Avenue C in Heavener from the 1970s. The photograph was taken by my father, Gene Hall, and was originally black and white before we colorized it using artificial intelligence.
Heavener Flowers and Dowden Funeral Home are on the right side of the image before the lot was burned down from lightning during a story in the 1990s. It is now a parking lot for Monument Bank.
