Bonnie Jayleen (Williams) Fowler obituary

Bonnie Jayleen (Williams) Fowler, 61, of Reichert was born June 11, 1964 in Poteau to Lonnie Ray Williams and Bonnie Williams. She passed away Dec. 23, 2025, in Oklahoma City.

Graveside service for Jayleen is 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Reichert Cemetery, followed by a luncheon and slideshow at the Reichert Community Center / Fire Department. Burial will follow under the care of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.

Jayleen was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from LeFlore High School in 1982. She began her career in real estate, working for John and Bettye Glinski, where she met the love of her life, Bob Fowler. The two were married Dec. 13, 1986, in Reichert, beginning a marriage that spanned 39 devoted years.

In 1993, Jayleen graduated from Poteau Beauty College and went on to work as a licensed cosmetologist in the Heavener area for more than 25 years. She built lasting relationships with her clients, many of whom became lifelong friends.

Jayleen was known for her generous heart and for being an extraordinary cook. She was famous among family and friends for making the best fried chicken and fried pies anyone had ever tasted, dishes that brought people together and created countless memories around her table.

Jayleen’s greatest pride and joy was her family.

Survivors are her loving husband, Bob Fowler, who never left her side; her daughter, Devin Williams (Fowler) and husband Chris of Howe; her son, Ethan Fowler of Reichert; and her beloved grandchildren Delilah, Emerson, Lindsey and Carson, who were the light of her life.

She is also survived by her mother, Bonnie Williams, of Reichert; her brothers Lonnie Wayne Williams and wife Jody, and Wesley Williams and wife Laurie, all of Reichert; her father- and mother-in-law Wayne and Pauline Fowler of Heavener; her sisters-in-law Sherry Steelman and husband Randy of Conser, Phyllis Pace and Chris of Heavener, and Judy May and husband Tony of Heavener; her brother-in-law, Terry Fowler, of Heavener; and many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.

Jayleen will be remembered for her kindness, incredible cooking, and unwavering love for her family. Her presence touched countless lives, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lonnie Ray Williams; and her sister-in-law, Deborah Steelman.

Pallbearers are Christopher Williams, Lonnie Wayne Williams, Wesley Williams, Tony May, Jeremy Davis and Damian Finnemore.

Viewing is from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Monday. The family will visit with friends from 5 until 7 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
