Larry P. Herrington memorial

Larry P. Herrington, of Poteau—known by many as “Hoss”—passed away on March 27, 2026, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, at the age of 80.

He was born Jan. 1, 1946, in Modesto, California, to Raymond and Ruby (Collins) Herrington.

Survivors are his wife of 48 years, Vicki Herrington, of the home; his children Brandon Herrington and Brittanii Herrington; his sister, Kathy Turner; and his nieces and nephews, including Traci Hermoso and husband Neil, Teresa Albertoni and husband Larry, Dale Beezley, James Turner, and John Turner. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Debi Smith, Lori Groening, and Kimi Miner, along with a host of extended family members and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Sandy Herrington and Linda Beezley; and his nephews, Jeff Herrington and Kenny Herrington.
