Charles Floyd Scoggins, 89, of the Reichert community in Heavener was born May 19, 1937 in Wilburton to George Washington “Dewey” and Elizabeth (Chapman) Scoggins and passed away June 19, 2026 at his home in the Reichert community.
Memorial services will be at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.
Charles, a cherished resident of the community for many years, dedicated his life to home improvement work and took pride in his contributions. He was an active member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, where he found a sense of belonging and purpose. Known for his passion for fishing and gardening, Charles also loved to lend a helping hand to others whenever he could. He enjoyed attending auctions, collecting a variety of items, and creating lasting memories with his family and grandchildren. As a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, Charles leaves behind a legacy of love that will be profoundly missed.
Survivors are his wife, Margaret (Harris) Scoggins, of the home; two daughters Kim Marie Singer of Palm Desert, California and Margaret Nell Fabian of California; one son, Thomas Charles Scoggins of Springfield, Missouri; four grandchildren Samantha Scoggins, Alex Case, Christopher Case, and Travis Paul Fabian; two great-grandsons Gabriel Case and Jasper Davis; numerous other loved ones and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents George Washington “Dewey” and Elizabeth Scoggins; one step-daughter, Tamara Pinkston; four sisters Georgia Small, Lois Gray, Nita Gerber, and Clara Jane Clark; and two brothers Pete Scoggins and Marvin Scoggins.
