Sunday: Hot with a high near 101.
Monday: Hot with a high near 102, slight chance of rain.
Tuesday: Dangerously hot with a high near 105.
With highs climbing into the 100s by early next week, LeFlore County residents should take precautions against heat-related illness. Limit outdoor activity during peak afternoon hours, stay hydrated by drinking water regularly throughout the day, and wear lightweight, light-colored clothing. Check on elderly neighbors and relatives, and never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle, even briefly. Watch for signs of heat exhaustion or heat stroke, including heavy sweating, dizziness, confusion, and nausea, and seek medical attention if symptoms appear.
