Florida snaps

Florida snaps OU win streak as No. 1/1 Oklahoma (43-6, 17-6 SEC) drew first blood with a run in the first inning and Ella Parker hit a home run for the fourth straight game in SEC softball, but Florida (42-13, 13-10 SEC) responded with a pair of big innings as OU dropped game two of the series, 9-4, Friday.

The loss snapped OU’s seven-game winning streak that included sweeps of No. 15/16 Mississippi State and No. 3/2 Texas, as well as a victory against No. 7/9 Florida.

Florida 9, OU 4
Oklahoma took a 1-0 lead in the first inning, which started off with Kasidi Pickering’s 45th walk on the year. Parker doubled her to third and Gabbie Garcia plated Pickering with an RBI groundout.
