Garry M. Ivey, 77, of Poteau, passed away May 25, 2026. He was born Aug. 15, 1948, in Whitesboro, to Mason and Winifred Ivey.
A celebration of life service is 9 a.m. Friday at Covenant (Assembly of God) Church in Poteau. A family-only graveside service will immediately follow. Pallbearers will be his seven grandsons.
Survivors include his wife, Sue (Hollie) Taylor Dunn Ivey, of the home; daughters Lauri and Leon Lowrimore of Spiro, and Leslie and Nathan Bain of Russellville, Arkansas; son Steve and Larissa Ivey of Bixby; grandchildren Martin Lowrimore of Edmond, Casey and Caitlyn Lowrimore of Cameron, Jonathan and Maddie Bain and great-granddaughter Lydia of Poteau, Joshua and Paige Bain of Russellville, Arkansas, Jordan Bain of Russellville, Arkansas, and Mason and Garrett Ivey of Bixby; brother, Mark Ivey and wife Connie of Shawnee; and numerous other loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela J. Ivey; his brother, Ronnie Ivey; and his parents.
Family visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Evans & Miller Funeral Home in Poteau.
