The Heavener City Council approved an ordinance increasing monthly compensation for the mayor to $300 and each city commissioner to $250, effective with each office’s next term following an election held after the ordinance’s enactment.
The mayor currently receives $10 per month, while council members receive $5 per month.
Ordinance No. 793-26 also provides annual cost-of-living adjustments based on the Consumer Price Index.
The ordinance amends Part 2, Chapter 4, Section 2-403 of the City of Heavener Code of Ordinances.
