Heavener girls rebounded from their first loss of the season Tuesday, to defeat Spiro, 12-0, in a fast pitch softball game Thursday.
The Lady Wolves improve to 7-1, Spiro falls to 4-6. The two teams play again 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Heavener.
Heavener pitcher Kristy Shadwick threw a no-hitter over five innings while striking out nine and walking four.
Annistyn Cartwright hit her second home run of the season for the Lady Wolves and was 1-3 with three RBIs and two runs scored; Mattie Barnes doubled while going 1-3 with one RBI and two runs scored; Haylee Morrison had a 3-4 outing with a RBI and two runs scored; and Kaitlin Hurst finished 2-3 with one RBI.
Chesney Brinkley was the losing pitcher for Spiro before being relieved by Jaxi Jones. Brinkley went 3.2 innings, allowing 10 hits and 12 runs, eight earned, with three walks and two strikeouts. Jones pitched 1.1 inning, allowing one hit.
