Heavener has a good day in the regional track meet at Stroud Saturday.

Jerami Casteel finished first in the discus and is advancing to the state meet while Gracie Springfield jumped 17’5 in the long jump to win a regional championship and set a new school record.

Springfield also qualified in the 110 hurdles, finishing second and setting a new personal record.

The boys’ 4×800 team of Parker Brand, Geren Palmer, Mogan Altstatt and Jerrod Boss were fifth, hoping to qualify and Diego Cruz was eighth in the 3200.
