Two LeFlore County students have been named recipients of the 2026 Erma Whittet & Lois Henderson Education Scholarship, which recognizes students who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to careers in education.

The 2026 recipients are Julie Cook of Heavener Public Schools and Jackson Parker of Pocola High School.

The scholarship honors the legacy of Erma Whittet and Lois Henderson by supporting future educators as they pursue higher education.

“These students have shown exceptional promise and commitment to their educational goals,” said Carla Cooper. “We are proud to recognize their accomplishments and support them as they continue their academic journeys.”
