Heavener school board agenda: 10-12-2026

Heavener school board will meet in a regular business meeting 6 p.m. Monday in the Glenn Scott Educational Center at 500 West Second Street in Heavener.

5.  Superintendent’s Report: Ed Wilson

6.  Consent Agenda: All the following items concerning reports and items of a routine nature normally approved at a board meeting will be approved by one vote unless any board member desires to have a separate vote on any or all of these items. The consent agenda consists of the discussion, consideration, and approval of the following items:
a. Agenda for October 12, 2026, Regular Board Meeting
b. Minutes for September 14, 2026, Regular Board Meeting
c. Activity fund financial report for September 2026
d. Activity fund fundraising requests as submitted by sponsors
e. General, Building, Bond Fund encumbrances
f. General, Building, Bond Fund Warrants
g. Treasurer’s financial report for September 2026

7.  Approve or disapprove $2000 Extra Duty Stipend for full-time support staff and $1000 stipend for part-time support staff.

8.  Approve or disapprove the contract with Leflore County Youth Services to provide services for Heavener Schools during the 2026-2027 school year.

9. Approve or disapprove the contract for the Cintas Rental Service Agreement for 2026-2027.

10. Approve or disapprove the purchase order for Eagle Fundraising, in the amount of $2,689.80 from activity account #823 band.

11.  Approve or disapprove the surplus of a Grasshopper lawnmower.

12.  Approve or disapprove the transfer from BPA #809 to Elementary Special Ed (Special Olympics) #900 in the amount of $350.

13.  Approve or disapprove the update to board policy FFG Reporting Suspected Child Abuse and/or Neglect.

14.  Approve or disapprove the update to board policy DABB Background Checks and Letter of Assurance.

15.  Approve or disapprove the update to board policy DO and DO-R Termination of Employment Teachers and Procedures for Termination.

16.  Approve or disapprove resignations as received by the Superintendent.

17.  Proposed executive session to discuss the employment of the following positions/employees for the 2026-2027 school year:

18.  Vote to convene in executive session.

19.  Acknowledge the board’s return to the open session and the President’s statement regarding items discussed in the executive session.

20.  Approve or disapprove the employment of the following positions/employees for the 2026-2027 school year:
