In the biggest surprise, Howe ended years of frustration with Dale in softball, topping the Lady Pirates by scoring all three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning as Dale managed only two hits.

Kaydence Delt went the distance for the Lady Lions, allowing the two hits and no runs with 14 strikeouts and three walks.

Lexi Scarberry provided all the runs Howe would need with a three-run home run in the fifth, scoring all the Lady Lions’ runs. Kylie Mundy finished 2-3 for Howe.

In Friday’s semifinals, Howe takes on Preston at 9:30 p.m. while Pocola take on Oktaha at 11 a.m. Saturday’s finals are at noon.
