Howe to play Pocola in the opening round of the Class 4A slow pitch softball state championship 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in Shawnee at Firelake Ballpark.

The Lady Lions are 18-14 and regional champions while Pocola is 38-4 and ranked second in the class, but enters the tournament as a regional runner-up.
The two teams have played twice this season with Pocola winning, 12-7, and 2-0.
The winner of the game advances to the semifinals at 4 p.m. Tuesday against the Dale-Coalgate winner.
