Jan Susan Wood of Spiro death notice

Jan Susan Wood, 81, of Spiro passed away Aug. 9, 2025, in Spiro and was born Sept. 13, 1943, in Hereford, Texas to Eunice (Scott) Reese and Joel Clinton “J.C.” Reese.

A Celebration of Life for her is 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Poteau Church of Christ with Paul Fletcher officiating, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.

Surviving family members are her husband, Jim Wood; her children Jill Garcia and husband Lu, Jamey Wood and wife Sabrina, and Julie Wood; her grandchildren Jaybree Wood, Logan Wood, Joy Simms and husband Josh, and Luisa Breazeale and husband Brandon; and a sister, Linda Hicks.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. Reese and Rozelle; and her brother, Jerry Reese.
