Jimmy “Chigger” Carol Naylor obituary

Jimmy “Chigger” Carol Naylor, 74, of Heavener was born on Aug. 5, 1953 in Heavener to Buster and Dulca (Haynes) Naylor and passed away on Aug. 6, 2026 at his home in Heavener.

Funeral services are 3 p.m. Sunday at the Lovings Baptist Church in Heavener with Brother Larry Stacy and Brother David Hardin officiating. Burial will follow in Conser Cemetery, under the direction and care of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.

Chigger, a cherished member of our community, dedicated his life to ranching and farming in the area he called home. His craftsmanship was evident in his rock work at the Heavener Runestone, and he contributed his skills at the LeFlore County Highway Department Dist. 3 and the LeFlore County Assessor’s office.

Known as the chairman at the table of knowledge at the Downtown Café coffee table, Chigger was a fountain of wisdom and camaraderie. A passionate gardener, avid hunter, and skilled roper, Chigger found joy in riding his beloved mule, Dolly, and showering his grandchildren with love and affection. He savored home-cooked meals by Brenda, which brought the family together in laughter and warmth.

Chigger’s legacy as a loving husband, daddy, PaPa, brother, uncle, and friend will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. His absence will be profoundly felt, and he will be dearly missed.

Survivors are his wife of 53 years, Brenda Naylor, of the home; two daughters Kim Miller and husband Russell of Mt. Ida, Arkansas, and Jennifer Jimmerson of Farmington, Arkansas; one son, J.C. Naylor, of Heavener; one sister, Carolyn Sams, of Heavener; two brothers Bob Naylor and wife Darlene of Hodgen, and Clyde Naylor and wife Sharon of Hodgen; seven grandchildren Dre Springs and Jesica, Jachaire and Jibran Dugger, Gabriel Perez and Kylee, Katelynn Gray and Tegan, Justin “Buck” Miller, Hayes and Hollis Naylor; one great-grandchild, Izaiah Spring; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, JaxRyder Ray Jimmerson; one sister, Juanita McAlester; and four brothers Burton, Herschel, Duain and Roger Naylor.

Pallbearers are Dre Springs, Gabriel Perez, Justin “Buck” Miller, Katie Gray, Tegan Gray and Taylor Meeks.

Viewing is from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. Saturday with family visiting with friends from 1 until 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
