John Wayne Upchurch of Eufaula passed away Jan. 24, 2026, in Eufaula at the age of 71 and was born on Sept. 11, 1954, in Poteau to Herbert and Maudie (Blair) Upchurch.

Survivors are his sisters Loretta Price of Poteau, Mary Louise Pierce of Heavener, Barbara Kendall of Eufaula, and Niela Upchurch of Spiro.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Maudie (Blair) Upchurch; his brothers Doyle, Alfred, James, Herbert Jr, Thomas and Floyd Upchurch.
